Open the Oustaad app and use the Homeschool-friendly filter on the tutor search. These are vetted tutors who've opted into a discounted hourly rate for families booking long-term cadences.
Use the Book a recurring schedule toggle on the booking flow. Pick weekly, twice-weekly, or every other week, then set the number of sessions for the semester. All availability is validated up front — no surprises mid-semester.
Homeschool-billed series use Stripe Subscription for monthly billing instead of per-session charges. You'll see a clear monthly invoice; cancel or pause the schedule any time from the Oustaad app.
Tutors set their own homeschool hourly rate (always at or below their standard rate). You see the rate before booking; the monthly bill is calculated as (sessions per month × tutor's homeschool hourly rate × session length). Stripe handles the billing infrastructure; Oustaad's platform fee is the same 15% as the standard per-session marketplace.
